Primatologist Jane Goodall Shared Aspiration to Launch Elon Musk and Donald Trump on Single-Journey Cosmic Voyage

After spending decades studying chimpanzee actions, Jane Goodall became an expert on the aggressive tendencies of dominant males. In a newly published interview documented shortly before her death, the famous primatologist disclosed her unusual solution for handling certain individuals she viewed as showing similar qualities: launching them on a non-return journey into the cosmos.

Final Documentary Reveals Candid Thoughts

This extraordinary perspective into Goodall's philosophy emerges from the Netflix production "Final Words", which was filmed in March and kept confidential until after her recently announced demise at nine decades of life.

"I know people I don't like, and I want to put them on one of Musk's spaceships and dispatch them to the planet he's convinced he'll locate," remarked Goodall during her discussion with the interviewer.

Specific Individuals Targeted

When questioned whether Elon Musk, known for his questionable behavior and associations, would be part of this group, Goodall replied affirmatively.

"Oh, absolutely. He would be the leader. You can imagine who I'd put on that spaceship. Together with Musk would be Donald Trump and some of Trump's dedicated followers," she stated.

"And then I would put Vladimir Putin among them, and I would put China's President Xi. I would definitely include the Israeli leader among the passengers and his administration. Send them all on that vessel and dispatch them."

Previous Criticism

This was not the earlier occasion that Goodall, an advocate of conservation efforts, had shared negative views about Donald Trump specifically.

In a 2022 interview, she had observed that he displayed "similar type of conduct as a dominant primate demonstrates when vying for supremacy with a rival. They stand tall, they parade, they portray themselves as significantly bigger and hostile than they may actually be in order to daunt their competitors."

Alpha Behavior

During her posthumous documentary, Goodall further explained her analysis of alpha personalities.

"We see, notably, two categories of leader. The first achieves dominance all by aggression, and because they're strong and they combat, they don't remain for extended periods. Another group achieves dominance by utilizing strategy, like a young male will only challenge a more dominant one if his friend, typically a relative, is with him. And you know, they endure much, much longer," she explained.

Social Interactions

The celebrated primatologist also analyzed the "political aspect" of conduct, and what her extensive studies had taught her about combative conduct shown by people and apes when encountering something they viewed as dangerous, even if no risk really was present.

"Chimps observe an unfamiliar individual from a neighboring community, and they become highly agitated, and their hair erect, and they stretch and touch another, and they show expressions of hostility and apprehension, and it spreads, and the remaining members absorb that sentiment that this one male has had, and the entire group grows combative," she described.

"It's contagious," she continued. "Various exhibitions that become hostile, it sweeps through them. They all want to get involved and become aggressive. They're protecting their domain or competing for supremacy."

Similar Human Behavior

When questioned if she considered comparable behaviors applied to people, Goodall responded: "Probably, sometimes yes. But I firmly think that the bulk of humanity are ethical."

"My main objective is raising the upcoming generation of empathetic people, roots and shoots. But is there sufficient time? It's unclear. These are difficult times."

Historical Perspective

Goodall, born in London prior to the commencement of the Second World War, likened the battle with the darkness of present day politics to the UK resisting German forces, and the "spirit of obstinance" displayed by Winston Churchill.

"This doesn't imply you won't experience times of despair, but subsequently you recover and state, 'Well, I refuse to allow their success'," she remarked.

"It's like the leader during the conflict, his iconic words, we shall combat them on the beaches, we'll fight them along the roads and urban areas, then he turned aside to a friend and reportedly stated, 'and we'll fight them with the remnants of shattered glass since that's everything we actually possess'."

Closing Thoughts

In her concluding remarks, Goodall provided words of encouragement for those fighting against political oppression and the environmental crisis.

"At present, when Earth is dark, there remains possibility. Maintain optimism. When faith diminishes, you turn into indifferent and take no action," she counseled.

"Should you wish to preserve the remaining beauty in this world – should you desire to save the planet for coming generations, future family, their grandchildren – then think about the decisions you make daily. As, replicated a million, multiple occasions, modest choices will create great change."
