I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming bout.

Ex two time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
